“ALDA is a non-governmental organization dedicated to the promotion of good governance and citizen participation at the local level. ALDA in particular focuses on activities that facilitate cooperation between local authorities and civil society. They currently offer our volunteers offices in Brussels, Vicenza, Strasbourg and Skopje where they contribute to the management of projects, they provide implementation and logistical support for administrative tasks related to the office’s needs and they have the opportunity to participate in ALDA meetings and drafting project proposals.
“ARDC is a grassroots, community-based, non-profit organization that was founded in 2004 by African asylum seekers and Israeli citizens, in order to assist, protect and empower African refugees and asylum seekers in Israel. Their mission is to empower, protect and assist African refugees and asylum seekers in Israel by advocating on their behalf and enabling processes that increase their awareness, ensure participation and inspire policy change. They currently offer volunteers projects in Assylum Application Assitance, Practical Refugee Education Program and Public Relations and Advocacy.”
“At PFDP, volunteers can both accompany groups of elderly people on holidays from 8 to 15 days to keep them company and help with their daily tasks or visit them and organize activities for the elderly people in their city. Volunteers are in charge of arranging trips such as cultural visits as well as activities in the association’s center.”
