What is volunteering?
As a member of UNSA, we give to you the opportunity to volunteer with one of our partner NGOs during your summer break (July/August). The Development Committee partners with local NGOs in developing countries and supports them by organizing fundraising activities and by sending students every year to conduct volunteer work. These aspects are meant to contribute to a mutual intercultural experience. Students from Maastricht University assist our partner organizations by making use of their personal skills, resources and knowledge and have the opportunity to gain experience abroad about development aid. Last year, more than twenty-seven students volunteered in one of our NGOs in India, in Madagascar and more.
