Human Rights & Law Defenders / Sahyog Trust

This NGO is part of the Sahyog Trust Organization and is located in Pune, India. Human Rights and Law Defenders campaign for what they are named after: Human Rights! It has made its task to spread and defend Human Rights. The awareness of the local people is raised by the use of campaigns, movies and by providing special trainings to potential/actual human right violators. Moreover, they also provide actual legal help especially for the marginalized and vulnerable people. To increase the possibility to get access to justice HRLD is developing and strengthening a network with other Human Rights NGO’s. You could make a change for these people and become part of this Human Rights defending NGO by conducting research as a volunteer/legal inter.

Kavya School

The Kaya School in Kathamandu, Nepal is a coeducational day and boarding school for children up until grade 10. The school has a strong focus on diversity and states as their core principle: ‘We welcome and enroll students of all faiths, races, and backgrounds, and offer various need-based scholarships each year’.

Furthermore, they engage in community, social, environmental and sustainability projects both in Kathmandu and the usually very poor, rural areas in Nepal.

Preda’s mission is to promote sustainable development through fair trade and poverty alleviation. Preda is a Philippine human rights social development organization working for 34 years through fair trade practices to help the poorest and most vulnerable people in society and overcome injustice and poverty. There are 88 professional Filipino staff implementing the 12 projects of Preda. The heart of mission is working for a just and fair world where equality, justice, human dignity and rights are respected by all. Empowering impoverished and vulnerable people is at the heart of these Gospel values and the mission and vision of Preda and all its members is to make these values a reality in as many lives as possible.

Center for Sustainable Development Studies

CSDS is addressing development issues in Vietnam with a focus on climate change for environment protection, women empowerment through sustainable livelihood support, children support through social inclusion, youth development through international exchange and non-formal education. Volunteers are needed to help with developing and editing proposals, editing translated reports and documents, exploring information, seeking new international partnerships and improving local staff’s communication in English.
