Welcome,

We are Yousra, Lea, Jakob, Sophie, Manuel and Mercure, the Advisory Board for this year. As the Advisory Board it is our job to guide and assist the current board members in case there are any questions and provide them with our UNSA knowledge that we have accumulated over the years. Additionally, we are also in contact with UNSA Alumni and keep them involved in UNSA. Feel free to check out the Alumni section of our website that will come soon, and allows UNSA Alumni to sign up and revive their UNSA time! If you ever have any questions for us or wish to engage more in UNSA as an Alumni, feel free to reach out via advisoryboard@myunsa.org

Advisory Board 2024/2025

President of the Advisory Board

Yousra Clémence Achour | President of the Advisory Board

Hi everyone, I am Yousra ! I am a master Student in Human Development and Public Policy.

UNSA has been a significant part of my life for over two years, and last year I served as Secretary General of EuroMUN 2024. UNSA has introduced me to incredible people and taught me a lot personally and professionally. Joining the Advisory Board is my way of giving back by offering my support, an attentive heart to speak to and helping you to find solutions.

In day to day life, I am (almost) always positive,  love cooking, reading, and outdoor activities like running :)

Vice-President of the Advisory Board

Lea Röller | Vice-President of the Advisory Board

Hi everyone! My name is Lea and I have been part of the UNSA for more than four years now: in 2020/21 as part of the External Affairs Committee; 2021/22 as Under-Secretary of Socials for EuroMUN2022; and in 2022/23 I became Treasurer, Vice-President, and Head of External Affairs! Since the summer of 2023, I have been part of the advisory board and am looking forward to continuing to support this year’s board and the association! I am currently completing an internship at UN DESA - feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns!

Jakob Seul | Member of the Advisory Board

Hi! I am Jakob! At the Moment I am finishing my BA European Studies at Maastricht University through which UNSA has accompanied me all along. After engaging first as an active member and later head of the Marketing and Communications Committee I decided to keep in touch with you all as a member of the Advisory Board. I love chatting, brainstorming and solving problems, so If you have any questions regarding creative media outputs or literally anything else I am here for you with an open ear and always a funny(?) quote to lift up the mood.

Sophie Richardson | Member of the Advisory Board

Hey, I’m Sophie! I’m a third year Digital Society student, and last year had the honor of being Co-head of External Relations, specifically focused on our wonderful study trips. I had such an incredible experience, met so many people, and truly got invested in UNSA that I wanted to continue supporting our members through the Advisory Board. I am always here to listen to your ideas, talk through problems, or even just get a coffee and chat! Some fun facts about me are I’m always listening to music, I love pickles, and I once hula hooped for over 40 minutes!

Manuel Ntsoumou | Member of the Advisory Board

Hi everyone, my name is Manuel! I am currently in my second year of the Research Master in European Studies. As part of this degree, I am abroad in Japan for a semester to broaden my perspective. Despite the distance and the time difference, I am always ready to help and/or crack a joke to break the ice. Last year, I was warmly welcomed into the UNSA family by becoming a member of the External Delegation. Outside of UNSA, I have been a board member of the University College Maastricht Study Association (UCMSA) and have co-founded the Science and Engineering Association Limburg (SEAL). I hope these experiences will be valuable in supporting members of UNSA this year. I look forward to being a strategic sparring partner to help UNSA overcome the challenges that lie ahead.

Mercure Libbrecht Gourdet | Member of the Advisory Board

Hey everyone, I’m Mercure and it is my pleasure to join the UNSA Advisory Board 2024 / 2025. I’ve been part of the association for three years, alongside my studies at the Maastricht Science Programme. Coming from the Journal Committee, I discovered the joy of having an overall look at the association and keeping things interconnected so I’m happy to be helping as much as I can, wherever I’m needed. Throughout my years at the Maastricht Diplomat I was able to cover everything from art fairs and reporting on current crises to protests and major cultural events, and what a ride this has been.
